If you have not worn lash extensions before, a classic half set is the simplest place to start. One extension is placed on each natural lash, so the look stays close to your own lashes, with a little more length and a darker lash line.
Book a patch test at least 48 hours before the appointment. It checks that your skin is comfortable with the adhesive, and it takes only a few minutes. Come to the set with clean lashes: no mascara, no serum, and no oil along the lash line that morning. Oil is what makes extensions slip.
The appointment is about 90 minutes. You lie back with your eyes closed. Afterwards, keep the lashes dry for 24 hours, then cleanse them with a lash-safe wash rather than a foaming face wash. Sleeping on a cotton pillowcase, rather than on your side with lashes pressed into the pillow, is what keeps a new set even.
Infills are usually due around three weeks. If you leave them much longer, more of your natural lashes shed and the set needs to be started again. We will talk through classic, hybrid, and Russian volume at the salon if you want a fuller look next time.
